As I showed you in a previous post, one of the birds that calls the valley its summer home is the common merganser. Don’t worry I won’t do my rant about ‘common’ again. The shots I displayed were of the families in the spring.
These birds also like our Kokanee salmon. And I can’t believe that they would eat something that big in relation to their own size. But they do!
Occasionally, the fish is too big and makes its escape. This one lingered by the merganser longer than I would have. Perhaps a little stunned?
