Well it isn’t really the end of inspiration, but it’s my farewell to the photo challenge ‘Inspiration’. My parting shots reflect, I think, the desire of most photographers to create Art with their photography. Not that photography isn’t an art form. But sometimes it is nice to take some shots that remind the viewer of paintings, etc.
These two photographs always illicit the response of “oh it looks like a painting”. And they do. These shots are two of my favourite and always an inspiration for me.

I would certainly be inspired if I could photography Harlequin Ducks — they are impossible for me to find in Metro Vancouver!!

I have only seen them here once and I spotted them by accident. Apparently seeing two males together is also uncommon. I think their feathers look like they were applied with heavily coated brush strokes.

I have always wanted to see a Harlequin. This is as close as I have been. Lovely photos.
