These first few, I think are of a fight between 2 spiders. And one does win..

Or web weavers. I never get that close to identify them clearly. The first time I saw this action a couple of years ago, I thought they were doing a mating dance….until one didn’t come out again. That gave me a clue….:-)

Just googled and more species eat the male than just that one. Apparently, in web weavers, as others, that tap out a beat on the web…..

I can imagine that there are more than just spiders who do this .. there are no living preying mantis fathers, for one. 🙂

They actually could be mating. That glob that it has in the first picture could be seminal fluid ready for the female. Who knows, but then who knew I’d be discussing spider sex on my blog…..
